Allergens & Food Information
Your safety matters. This page explains how we handle allergens at Shadi's Kitchen and what to do if you have an allergy or intolerance.
Per‑dish allergen information
Allergen information for every dish is shown on our menu and is updated whenever a recipe changes. If anything is unclear, please contact us before ordering at info@shadiskitchen.co.uk.
The 14 regulated allergens
Under UK Food Information Regulations, the following allergens must be declared if present in a dish:
- Celery
- Cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats)
- Crustaceans (e.g. prawns, crabs)
- Eggs
- Fish
- Lupin
- Milk (including lactose)
- Molluscs (e.g. mussels, squid)
- Mustard
- Tree nuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios, etc.)
- Peanuts
- Sesame seeds

Cross‑contamination
Our meals are prepared in a single kitchen that handles all 14 major allergens, including gluten, dairy, nuts, eggs, fish and sesame. While we follow strict handling and cleaning procedures, we cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free from traces of an allergen. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering so we can advise honestly on suitability.
Storage & reheating
Please refrigerate meals on arrival and consume by the date shown on the packaging. Reheating instructions are printed on each meal — follow them to ensure food is piping hot before serving.
